Mark Josling feels particularly privileged to have had Signwork author Bill Stewart as one of his City & Guild instructors. “He was very disciplined and methodical. Looking back, I realize how important this was.”
Opening “Spectrum Signs” in 1988, his work varies among plywood signs, banners, vehicles, gold leaf, and plant machinery. Although Mark’s been using a computer since 1995, over 60 percent of his work remains hand lettered. He still prefers to render his own alphabets “to make his work stand out a bit”.
